If you are calling 911 for any police, fire or medical emergency, & have a fever, cough, or any flu-like symptoms, PLEASE let the dispatcher know!
If you are quarantined (mandatory or self imposed) in your home or business due to possible or confirmed COVID-19 exposure, PLEASE notify 911 when you call and advise the dispatcher.
We also ask that you place a sign/note on your front door to alert our firefighters, EMTs, and law enforcement officers to take infection-prevention precautions before prior to entering your home or business.
It is imperative that we protect our crews so that they will be able to continue to meet the emergency needs of the community.
In other areas- there have been entire fire companies & EMS agencies that wound up getting quarantined because they were not alerted prior to responding and entering the homes of presumed positive residents. Those first responders are now unavailable to help anyone for at least 14 days.
Our department CAN NOT afford to have this happen!! If we are out of service, we can not help you, our neighbors and the community.
Also, we do not want to have to take it home to our families or risk compromising the safety of our community when there are prevention procedures that can be implemented

You deserve so much consideration for what you do in the best of times. This should be a law at this time. You are special, irreplaceable men and women. God bless you.

Friends/Sponsors: In light of developing concerns relating to the COVID-19 virus, we have decided it is in the best interest of our community to CANCEL Saturday’s KDM Foundation event. While this was not an easy decision, it is consistent with the recommendations of medical experts which have also resulted in the closures of local schools and the cancelations of other large gatherings.
In the coming months KDM will explore options for holding an alternative event as conditions allow, and to share information with our supporters at that time.
We’ll also be discussing whether/how to distribute race shirts to everyone who had already registered for KDM’s event, or to provide those shirts at a future event.
We remain committed to our longstanding efforts to support student athletes in Rumson, Fair Haven, Red Bank, Little Silver, Shrewsbury and Sea Bright – made possible by your 19 years of generosity.
We also wish to thank our 2020 Sponsors: AB Fitness, Builders General Supply, O’Brien Realty (Scott Gilbert), Executive Maintenance Services, Heritage House/Sotheby’s (Chris Drummond), Two River Travel and Woody’s Ocean Grille.
Should any race participants or sponsors wish to speak with us about this decision or seek refunds for your charitable contributions, please feel free to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you for your understanding, stay safe and we look forward to seeing you again soon! ... See MoreSee Less

Today, Sea Bright Fire Rescue hosted a presentation given by the representatives of the North Hunterdon Fire Alliance, to discuss and answer questions in regards to their highly successful and progressive - Squad 51 program.
The 51 program involves staffing a Squad (Engine w/Extrication capabilities) on a rotating basis between the 5 departments that compromise the North Hunterdon Fire Alliance. This staffed Squad unit is on duty from 1800 Saturday night until 0600 Sunday morning.
This apparatus is staffed by volunteers that stay in house during the shift and provides exceptional response time and responds to any incident within the 5 districts.
When a call comes in, Squad 51 is alerted and responds in ADDITION to, and not in place of, the local jurisdictions department.
The name "Squad 51" is used to refer to the on-duty apparatus
The North Hunterdon Fire Alliance is made up of 5 core departments located in Hunterdon County New Jersey.
~ High Bridge Fire Department (Station 14)
~ Lebanon Borough Fire Department (Station 18)
~ Town of Clinton Fire Department (Station 45)
~ Annandale Hose Company (Township of Clinton) (Station 46)
~ Quakertown Fire Company (Franklin Township) (Station 91)

This same concept makes sense for volunteer EMS to improve response times and better utilize EMT resources. There is no shortage of volunteer emts in NJ, there is a management problem because dispatch works like it did in 1970’s.
Anything in the works or just early due dilligence?
Only 12hrs per week?
